HOW I HELP YOU GET BACK IN THE GAME

  • Golf swing analysis to optimize technique and improve performance on the course

    TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

Trigger points are areas of tension in the muscle or surrounding tissues that cause pain, locally and referred to other areas. When these trigger points are released, you begin to feel more motion and less pain. We then work through that pain free range with therapeutic exercise to maintain gains and move better.

  • Manual Therapy

    MANUAL THERAPY

Manual therapy is another hands-on approach to improving mobility and pain by working directly at the joint level, freeing restrictions and rewiring your nervous system. This also includes thrust manipulations of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, loosening up areas that are essential for a proper golf swing.

  • Cupping

    CUPPING

Cupping is a form of therapy that uses suction to increase blood flow to certain muscles and tissues. This can help promote healing, relieve tension, improve pain, and increase efficiency of working muscle.

  • Kinesiotape

    KINESIOTAPE

You may have seen used this on various athletes; Kinesiotape is a method that is used to help relieve pain and inflammation by supporting muscles and tendons after a therapy session, during daily activities, or while playing a sport. Once we make positive changes, Kinesiotape can be used to maintain quality gains made during sessions.

  • Neuromuscular Re-Education

    NEUROMUSCULAR RE-EDUCATION

This technique is used to retrain your muscles to fix improper movement patterns. If you don’t have proper motor control, it can lead to imbalances, weakness, and tightness that can be a precursor to pain or injury. It can also be the reason why your swing becomes inconsistent. I use neuromuscular re-education to train your muscles to work together through the proper range of motion, so you can move in the ways your were meant to, eliminating pain and swinging with better control.

  • Functional Mobility Training

    FUNCTIONAL MOBILITY TRAINING

In many cases, the root cause of symptoms comes down to a pattern of poor movement mechanics that build up over time and results in pain or injury. STAYING pain-free comes down to addressing this root cause after we have diagnosed the problem by training your body to move in the correct way, and work with itself rather than against itself.

  • Therapeutic Exercise

    THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE

Pain can be addressed through many different techniques, but it stays away by strengthening the proper muscle groups that are weak as a result of poor mechanics or chronic injuries. A properly constructed exercise program that specifically targets the problem is the difference between temporary relief, and permanent relief.

  • Flexibility and Mobility Training

    FLEXIBILITY & MOBILITY TRAINING

Proper dosing of stretching and mobility exercise is essential for gaining flexibility and range of motion, which are both essential for pain-free functional mobility AND the ideal golf swing.

  • Balance Training

    BALANCE TRAINING

No matter what age you are, balance is incredibly important. For some, improving balance is a matter of reducing fall risk, while walking along a sloped green, or even walking around at home. For others, it’s a matter of staying balanced during high level of activities, especially while swinging a golf club.
